Mike Ward has been announced as the new SEHS Principal. Mr Ward brings over 20 years of experience wiht 11 years right here in Effingham County as a teacher and coach. Mr Wards recent position was principal of Blanford Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. Ward will bring his leadership to South High and will continue to motivate staff and students to maintain the high performing environment where every student is empowered to excel academically and succeed beyond graduation. Ward was chosen out of the three candidates that applied.
Patsy Owens was named as the new Blanford Elementary School Principal.
