GUYTON, Ga. — Families from across Effingham County came together Saturday for an unforgettable day of patriotic fun during Hope Ranch Zoo’s Red, White & Zoo celebration, where animals, games, delicious food, and exciting attractions created memories that will last a lifetime.
As one of Effingham Premier’s longest-standing community partners, Hope Ranch Zoo once again delivered an incredible family experience that showcased why it continues to be one of the county’s favorite destinations. Effingham Talks and Effingham Premier were on hand throughout the day to help promote the event, connect with families, and highlight another positive community gathering that brought residents together.
Serving as Goodwill Ambassadors between local businesses and the community, Effingham Premier and Effingham Talks continue their mission of strengthening relationships throughout Effingham County by supporting local organizations, celebrating community successes, and helping residents discover the outstanding businesses, nonprofits, and events that make the county such a special place to live. Saturday’s event was another example of that commitment, as they worked alongside Hope Ranch Zoo to showcase one of the area’s premier family attractions.
One of the biggest attractions of the day was GellyBall, which quickly became a favorite among visitors of all ages. The low-impact, action-packed game gave families the opportunity to enjoy all the excitement of friendly competition in a safe and fun environment. Laughter echoed throughout the zoo as children, teens, and adults suited up for exciting matches, making GellyBall one of the most talked-about experiences of the event.
Beyond the action, guests enjoyed exploring the zoo’s incredible collection of animals while taking advantage of the shaded playground, interactive experiences, and family-friendly atmosphere that Hope Ranch Zoo is known for.
Adding even more excitement to the celebration were several outstanding local vendors and community partners. The Squeeze Squad kept guests refreshed with fresh-squeezed lemonade and specialty drinks, while Kona Ice served up its famous shaved ice to help everyone beat the summer heat. Visitors also enjoyed delicious meals and refreshments from The Food Boxx, making sure no one left hungry after a full day of fun.
